Reach Higher Montana’s mission is to provide students and families with the knowledge and tools to finance and pursue their post secondary education. The ACT® test assesses high school students’ general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.
- The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
- The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
The SAT Reasoning Test is a standardized test designed to measure the critical thinking skills that students will need for academic success in college. The SAT was developed by the College Board, a non-profit organization.
The SAT test is about 4 hours long and offers possible scores between 600 and 2400. The test is broken down into three main sections: critical reading, writing and math. Each section is scored on a scale of 200 to 800 points.
