This annual event encourages teens to write about their experience with cancer for the opportunity to win one of several $500 cash prizes.
The goal of the Cancer Unwrapped Teen Writing Contest is to open a dialogue with teens about the emotions they have felt when dealing with cancer. Teens from grades 9-12 are asked to share their stories about cancer in personal essays of 500 – 2,000 words. Essays can be about their own experience of a personal diagnosis or about their experience with the diagnosis of a loved one, a schoolmate, or friend. The contest deadline is May 14, 2018.
