AP Chemistry students will need a composition notebook, and non-latex gloves for labs.  Chemistry 1 students will need a composition notebook for their Chemistry labs.  All students must wear safety goggles during labs which they can purchase from me for $3.

The AP Chemistry Summer assignment is due on the first day of class, Thursday, August 29th at the start of class.

2019-2020 will by my 4th year teaching Chemistry at Helena High School.  I am changing Honors Chem 2 into AP Chemistry next year.  I taught Biology and AP Biology for 7.5 years in Washington before we moved to Montana in January of 2012 during a massive snow storm.  After I moved I tried some other jobs before the siren song and glamour of teaching high school pulled me back in.  I worked at DPHHS in the Public Health Lab, ExplorationWorks as the Education Director, and then Starbase, where I taught STEM to over 1,000 fifth graders.  I have been married for 24 years and am a parent to two MSU Bobcats; my daughter is a Junior studying Graphic Design and my son is a senior studying History and Japanese.  As a parent of two HHS graduates, I know what a great place this is, as a parent AND a teacher!  Go Bengals!
