I am excited to start a new school year. This is my twenty forth year teaching math at Helena High. I have taught all levels of high school math. I did my undergraduate work at MSU and received my masters degree from UM. I currently serve on the board of directors of the Montana Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) and chair MCTM’s part of the state educators conference. I am always looking for new and innovative ways to teach. Along the way I married his lovely wife Mary Ann and we have two wonderful sons Ben and Nathan. When I am not teaching I enjoy windsurfing and whitewater kayaking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
All students are required to have a graphing calculator in my class. I recommend any TI 84 or 83. If you are purchasing one I recommend the TI 84 Plus C or CE. If you can not afford one the student needs to see me outside of class and I will lend them one for the school year.
This is for Lab 1.
