Hello!
Welcome to Helena High School. I have had the privilege of teaching here for the last 17 years and continue to love working with students to learn math. This year I am teaching 3 sections of College Algebra 1st semester and Statistics 2nd semester. Students have the opportunity to take either or both semesters for dual credit through Helena College. I am also teaching 2 sections of Algebra I. I am looking forward to a great year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Extra credit questions will be given only to those who are in class taking the test/quiz on the day it is given or to those who take it in advance. There may also be occasional project work that will be added into your grade.

You may use your homework and notes on the quizzes and some of the questions will come directly from these items. Homework will be collected randomly and must be turned-in on the day that it is asked for (you will be allowed one extension per quarter). Each assignment will be worth 20 points, 5 of these points will come from notes. You may retake any quiz for up to a 4. NO quizzes will be allowed to be made up or retaken after the due date!! Time given in class will be used for quiz taking or math work only.
Semester Exams:
A semester exam will be given at the end of the 2^{nd} and 4^{th} quarters. The exam will count for 20% of the semester grade, with each quarter grade counting for 40% of the semester grade. Everyone will take the exams.
Tardy Policy:
Any student not in the room when the bell rings is tardy. All school policies for tardies will be strictly enforced.
