Welcome to Mrs. Weber’s math class!
Whether math is something that your student loves or really struggles with, I am excited about the opportunity to have them in class. My hope is that by the end of the year math will be much more “doable”, and perhaps even something that they enjoy!
My goal is that a great deal of learning will take place in my classroom, not only about math but about being good citizens and responsible young adults full of character and integrity.
Now that we have an entire unit under our belts it is a good time to take stock in the progress we’ve made. There is much hard work being done by students and they are learning! As we approach mid-term (can you believe it?!) here are a few things to be looking for:
I am so very happy to help your students if they are struggling. Please encourage them to come in before/after school or at lunch if they need some extra time from me! You are also welcome to call/e-mail me if you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment. Thank you for your support at home!
This class is for Algebra 1 students who are willing to work hard, but just find themselves needing extra help in math. Time is spent in class working on homework for Algebra 1, practicing material being learned in that class, and at times even previewing upcoming topics. Due to the nature of the class and its smaller size, many students find that they are in a better position to get help in the lab class, and more often than not end the year with a higher level of math confidence. Students do earn an elective credit for being in the lab – an added bonus!
