Extracurricular

Bengals…Let’s Get Involved!!

Bengal Students…According to the National Center for Education Statistics, a study done on Extracurricular Participation And Student Engagement indicates that, “Extracurricular activities provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to apply academic skills in a real-world context, and are thus considered part of a well-rounded education. Recent research suggests that participation in extracurricular activities may increase students’ sense of engagement or attachment to their school, and thereby decrease the likelihood of school failure and dropping out (Lamborn et al, 1992; Finn, 1993).”

Bengal Parents/Guardians…

We encourage all parents and guardians to get involved in their student’s high school career. Below is information regarding events that parents and guardians are invited to attend and/or participate in.

Bengal Booster Club

The booster club supports HHS students in a positive manner. Please consider joining. We invite you to join the HHS Bengal Booster Club and welcome your presence at our monthly meetings held the second Monday of every month at 5:30 in the HHS library. First meeting is scheduled for September.

The Club works in conjunction with school educators, staff, and parents to promote school spirit, athletics, academics, and enhance the educational experience. The Helena High Booster Club is a registered not-for-profit organization* that supports all students by providing financial assistance for extra-curricular activities as well as enhancements to school facilities. Requests for uniforms, recognition dinners, travel, and special projects for the school, frequently exceed our ability to assist.
