*Tickets are required.  Members of the Class of 2025 will receive 10 tickets, which is based on fire code standards.
*Tickets will be distributed on June 2, 2025 in Government classes.

Tickets for Admission to Carroll College PE Center

Graduation will be held indoors at the Carroll College PE Center.

Graduates will receive honor cords at rehearsal and 10 tickets for the graduation ceremony in Government class.  Tickets do not cost money.  Those seniors without a government class will need to pick these up in the Counseling office beginning May 28 through May 31st.  If you have not received the ticket packet, please check with your student.

We are not offering any extra tickets. Number of tickets per graduate is based on fire code standards.  Tickets CANNOT be replaced if lost or stolen due to limited seating.

Graduation Practice

Semester test schedule for Seniors Only!

Senior Tests – 2nd Semester

Monday         June 2, Regular day — Counselors in Government classes for Graduation Preparation
Tuesday         June 3, Regular day
Wednesday   June 4, Periods 0, 1, 2, and 3- regularly scheduled classes. Periods 4, 5, 6 & 7- finals in these classes
Thursday       June 5, Periods 0, 1, 2 & 3- finals in these classes
Friday             June 6, No School for Seniors

Graduation practice will be Thursday, June 5 @11:15 at Carroll College PE Center.  Students must participate in graduation practice in order to be in the commencement ceremony  on Saturday.  All seniors will be dismissed at the end of third period.

Chrome books will be checked in to the Main Office the week of June 9th.

Use of alcohol/drugs before or during graduation or rehearsal will not be tolerated. Anyone suspected of use, will be removed from the lineup  at graduation. Check with your Counselor for any cap and gown issues or contact Travis Belcher, Jostens representative.

Senior Picnic

The senior picnic marks the end of a high school era. Stop in and pick up your sandwich, chips, and drink.  The picnic is one of the last events aside from prom where seniors get to congregate in a non-school environment for a final goodbye. The bittersweet event gives students the opportunity to have fun with friends before they head off to future adventures.

The Senior Picnic will immediately follow graduation practice on Thursday, June 5, 2025.  The picnic will be at the Carroll PE Center.

Graduation Day

Students who participate in the graduation ceremony are expected to abide by the following guidelines:

  • Please find your chair and sit down in the row you are assigned until Principal Thennis has finished with announcements.
  • You will be asked to line up according to the walk-in list. Look for the person directing your row number and follow them.  That person will instruct you how to line up.
  • Certain circumstances may arise causing some of you to line up alone. If you are alone, you will be paired with either the people ahead of or behind you.  Please stay in your line as you march in during graduation.

Be prepared to take care of any school fines before graduation practice.  ALL FINES must be paid on Friday, June 6th by NOON in order to receive your diploma. Senior fines have been posted on the main office windows and will be updated on a weekly basis. Please check Power School or contact the bookkeeper for your fine status.  Final Fine Lists are posted by the end of Graduation Practice and seniors are encouraged to check the list or access Power School to be sure they did not acquire any other fines that morning – as several textbooks are turned in that morning that might have added a damage fine, etc.

Commencement exercises begin at 11:00 AM therefore, SENIORS MUST REPORT BY 10:00 AM.

Care of the Cap and Gown

The wearing of caps and gowns has been handed down to us as a symbol of learning.  As soon as possible upon receiving your gowns, place the gown on a hanger to allow the folds to fall out. If a light pressing is needed, ALWAYS USE A PRESSING CLOTH BETWEEN THE IRON (which should be set at low) AND THE GOWN.  Excessive heat will ruin the gown.

The cap must be placed on your head so that the mortarboard is level with the long point of the crown at the back. The front point should be well down on the forehead.  Please do not wear the cap so far back that it needs to have bobby pins to hold it on.

Be respectful of the graduation ceremony. Be a Class Act!  Mortar boards may be tastefully decorated. Please select appropriate attire to be worn underneath your gowns.

Parade of Graduates

Seniors – this is your opportunity to return to your previous elementary and middle school to celebrate your graduation with former teachers and to inspire younger students to graduate.  You will need to wear your cap and gown for this event.  Transportation will be provided. Date is TBD. Seniors are invited to return to the following schools for the grad walk: Montana City, Bryant, Smith, Jefferson, Warren, Central and HMS. Bring your cap and gown and load the bus after 2nd period. Questions? Stop by the counseling center.

Senior All Night Party

The 2025 Senior All Night Party is on June 7, the night of graduation, from 7:00pm until 4:00am. Ticket sales are live now! Early bird sales are happening now!   Your seniors won’t want to miss this year’s party as it will be bigger and better than ever before!  We have tons of food, prizes, and entertainment (money machine, jousting, bungee run, laser tag, maybe dunk tank, maybe hypnotist, karaoke, limbo, line dancing, maybe foam party, whizzer, poker, and tons of other games!) in store for them.

The Helena Senior All Night Party is an independent 501c3 non-profit and is not affiliated with Helena Schools.

 

Visit the online Parchment Service to order your “Final Transcript”. Please use an updated email address, as once you leave HHS your school account will be deactivated.  You must select “Hold for Grades”.  Once Semester 8 grades have been finalized, then your transcript will be honored and distributed.  All fines and fees must be paid prior to releasing your transcript. Please make your transcript request BEFORE August 1st in order to avoid paying the processing fee.
