The club participates in a competitive Mock Trial against other teams. Mock Trial is a nationwide activity in which students simulate trial proceedings, acting as lawyers and witnesses. The trials deal with real life scenarios and also incorporate current laws, statutes and case law.
Mock Trial helps develop crucial speaking skills in a trial-like setting. Club members will discover how to become effective attorneys, arguing for the side of the prosecution (or plaintiff) or the defense. Or, participants can act as witnesses testifying about valuable evidence. Students of all levels are encouraged to join.
