Each athlete MUST have a completed physical form and signed concussion form before they can start practice. Bring the completed forms the first day. All required forms can be found on the Activities Home Page as well as the HHS Main Office. The cost is $70 for the first sport which includes the required activity ticket.

The Helena High Cheer and Stunt team promotes school spirit by performing at volleyball, football, wrestling and basketball games.  The team also competes at local and state competitors as and other local events like the Parade of Lights.  Cheer is a year-round activity for both male and female athletes with the focus on strength and teamwork.  For boys interested in participating, you can be just a stunt person and/or tumbler if preferred.

For all those interested in trying out for the HHS Cheer and Stunt team, open clinics will start on Thursday, April 4th from 7-8:30 for all high schoolers.  Come try-out a practice to see if you like to stunt and tumble.

There is an alternative open gym at HMS for middle schoolers only on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00.


Tryout clinics with be the week May 13th-16 from 4:00-6:00. Tryouts will be held May 17th starting at 4:00.  Athletes will be scored on the following skills:

  1. Tumbling
  2. Jumps
  3. Strength
  4. Flexibility
  5. Performance
  6. Behavior/Cooperativeness

Things you will need to complete  in order to participate during the cheer season:

  1. Sports Physical
  2. $70 activity fee
  3. Concussion form
  4. Tobacco/Alcohol/Drug form
